While travelling on the bus today I heard a gurgling baby laugh. Other passengers looked around to see the happy infant, but there was none. The sound was a phone ringtone. Old people's reaction is usually to make eye contact with said infant and then make funny faces to said infant. There was a perplexed look on a few faces, as if their whole world view had just shifted quite a few steps. They looked at each other and then to the owner of the cell phone.
Hearing a sound without having an image to view can be disconcerting for those unused to modern technology. Maybe carrying a fake baby as a prop to go with the phone sound would help? Remember to exercise due care choosing your next ringtone to download, so as not to freak out too many people. Unless of course that is the intention. :)

Embarassing Ringtone?
Does your ringtone make you blush in public? Now a ringtone could save you blushing in public! Forget about having an embarassing ringtone, how about embarassing bodily functions? Checkout this video displaying the incredible Toot-tone. It's "super easy to use". The advert says it "puts the fun in bodily functions."
I wonder how popular a ringtone product like this would be if it ever really came on to the market. Would lots of kids still have ringtone battles? Probably *sigh*

Attractive Ringtones?
Can the quality of your ringtone improve your pulling power?
A website pherotones.com certainly seems to think so.
Forget about dating, speed dating, and texting dating sites;
simply stand in the middle of a crowd and set your phone to go off.
You might then attract the opposite sex (or even the same gender
according to a small video on the site!)
Good luck!

Your Personality
How much do you give away about yourself when your phone goes off?
Does your cellphone ringtone play your favourite song,
or a part of a movie?
Or are you immediatly labelled as a cat lover when your phone starts
to miaow loudly!
Do you stick with the same boring tones that came as standard with your mobile?
The next time a phone goes off in public, watch the cellphone user's neighbours instant reactions to the loud ringtone, favourable or not.
(And then tell them to put it on silent :P )

Classical Music Ringtones
It amuses me to be sitting on a bus and here so many different ringtones sounding.
Who would have thought that with all the choice out there many phone owners will opt for a tune that was created centuries ago.
Imagine how J.S.Bach, W.A.Mozart and Ludvig Van Beethoven, all sitting on a modern day bus would react to hear their music emanating from trvellers pockets.
It's not unusual to hear Ode to joy, turkish rondo, and Air on the G string on the same journey. Beethoven's fifth, however, does not seem to be a popular choice.
One would imagine the initial da-da-da-daa to be an excellent wake up call.
Maybe people are more interested in listening to their ringtones these days than to those that are calling them!

Why on earth would you want to download a ringtone for your mobile phone?
Well it's a way of personalising your cellphone, and stamping your own identity on it.
Ringtones aren't just monotonous beeps any longer, they can be almost any sound!
You could choose a snippet from your favourite movie, or coldplay song, or whatever you are listening to right now.
